Dr. Pratt received his B.S. in Zoology with honors from
Texas A&M in 1971 and was elected Phi Kappa Phi. When he
received his dental degree in 1974 from the University of Texas, he
graduated in the top 2% of his class. In 1976, following a two-year
residency at the University of Texas, he earned his specialty degree
in orthodontics.
Dr. Pratt is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and American
Association of Orthodontics (AAO). He achieved certification as a
Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, the only specialty board
recognized by the ADA and AAO. Fewer than 30 percent of
orthodontists receive this honor.
Dr. Pratt is active in many professional organizations including having been President of the 7th District Dental Society of Texas, the University of Texas Orthodontic Alumni Association, and the Orthodontic Foundation. He is a Fellow of the prestigious Amercan College of Dentists and in 2002 Dr. Pratt was nominated for Texas Dentist of the Year by the Academy of General Dentistry.
Practicing in the Bryan-College Station area since 1976, Dr. Pratt is
active in school, community and church activities. He has served on
the board of directors of such organizations as the Chamber of Commerce,
United Way, Boys and Girls Club, Athletic Booster Clubs and Little
League. He enjoys living in the Bryan-College Station area with his
wife Janene. |
